December Tags

Hello everyone how are Christmas preparations going? Ok I hope. Mine are coming along nicely so I'm feeling pretty organised just now.
Today I have my final Tags for this years tag swap over at Chocolate Baroque to share with you. This month we could choose which technique to use and we had to make two tags as always. I chose to use the resist technique and these are my tags

A couple of weeks ago we met for our monthly Card Group, this time Janice was our tutor and this was her first time but she did really well. She brought us two Christmas cards to make both of which would be good for batch card making.

Birthday Cards

I'm trying to be organised this year to avoid some of the mad December rush to get ready for Christmas. I'm doing quite well with my Christmas cards but I also have 3 December birthdays so the other day I decided to get on and get their cards made. I did get all three done but Ive just realised I only took photos of 2 of them and as I have sent them with my Mum so she can pass them on when she sees the family I have missed that opportunity. Oh well never mind at least I have 2 to share.
Both my nephew and my great nephew have birthdays and these are the cards I have made.

First for my Nephew

and for my Great-nephew

November Tags

Its time to share my November tags for the Chocolate Baroque swap, my apologies for not sharing my September and October tags but I forgot to take photos before I posted them.

The technique we had to use this month was to make a Distress Ink background, i had great fun making these and decided as it is the final swap of the year to make them Christmassy.

I've been making some notelets to give as Christmas gifts to my non crafty friends and realised I hadn't shared them on here yet. I'm hoping they will like them and be able to use them.

I've been busy making more Christmas cards again using some images from the LOTV Art Pad I do love these for quick and simple cards. I've also used some leftover snippets from last Christmas for the backing papers and embellishments so I will be joining in at Pixies Snippets Challenge again too.
I'm also joining in with Rudlof Day too

Cushion Cover

I thought I'd share something other than a card today. I have been busy over the last few weeks doing some knitting and crochet, nothing complicated just some nice peaceful yarn creativity.
In the summer we got some new curtains for our lounge, something we have been going to do since we moved into this house 3 years ago. There were curtains up at the windows so there was no rush, other things took priority but you know how it is you do other things and the curtains don't get bought. Anyway this summer I was fed up with the ones that were up as they weren't really our style nor were they the colour I wanted and after spending some time looking I eventually found the ones I wanted. Having bought new curtains it meant I needed some new cushion covers too and so I set about making us some having first spent a while finding yarn that matched, well I say some this is the only one so far lol but I will get round to making more......eventually. Well thats enough waffle from me so here is the cushion

This first picture is a close up which shows the colours better and the second is a picture of the cushion on the sofa. The colours look more washed out on this one but its a dull grey day today and I found it difficult getting the colours to show up well

Quick Christmas Cards

A few weeks ago I bought some of the new art pads from LOTV in order to make some quick and simple Christmas Cards. Im doing quite well so far this year with making my cards I have about 40 done so far and quite a few more are part way done. Anyway these are the ones I've made with the LOTV art pads

The first two are from set 33 Christmas Cuties and the sec on two are from set 36 'Tis the Season

These pads are so useful and I will be making more of my cards using them.
